International Summit on the Use of AI in Learning and Teaching Languages and Other Subjects (AIinLT)
Dr. Grace Leung and Dr. Thomas Chan from the Language Centre (English Section), along with Dr. Kevin Chan and Dr. Yang Wai from the Language Centre (Chinese Section), participated in the International Summit on the Use of AI in Learning and Teaching Languages and Other Subjects (AIinLT).
Dr. Chan and Dr. Wai introduced an HKD 2 million project funded by the Education Bureau’s Quality Enhancement Support Scheme by showcasing two AI-powered chatbots developed to support genre-based writing. These adaptive learning assistants provide students with real-time, personalised feedback while promoting self-directed learning, which helps them build confidence and greater independence in developing their writing skills.
