Our Aims

The Hong Kong Shue Yan University Language Centre is a university-wide centre that supports the learning and teaching of language for academic and professional purposes in accordance with the needs of its users. Its aims are to support students in pursuit of the highest levels of language proficiency and academic achievement by cultivating learner-autonomy, ensuring access to outstanding language learning and teaching resources in multiple media, providing language enhancement activities in collaboration with teachers and units across the University, and other institutions and organisations; and providing bespoke professional advisory services to individual language learners.
