Art Tech Week 2026

As part of the University's 55th anniversary community service projects, members of the AI-Based Language Laboratory (ALL) at the Language Centre attended the "Summer TechEd Fest 2026" organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council to deliver a workshop titled "Customised AI Assistance for Smart Learning", open to members of the public.

Dr. Rebekah BALE, Acting Head of the English Department, opened the workshop by expressing the belief in AI-powered technology as a means for enhance their curiosity and creativity in language learning. Ms. Helen TAM (ALL e-learning technologist) and Mr. Sheung Ping WONG (ALL project assistant) then showcased Aybo—the Language Centre's AI-powered writing assistant, various AI-based language games and learning tools, and examples of effective text prompts for language learning support.
